Rheem Mfg. Co. promoted Amy Johnson to serve as the company’s vice president of global air operations and supply chain. In this role, Johnson will lead efforts to develop and execute the global manufacturing strategy for Rheem’s air-conditioning business division and oversee operating systems and best practices. Johnson has more than 20 years of operations and leadership experience. She joined Rheem in 2012 as a lead quality engineer, and has risen through the organization. As the senior director of operations and quality, a role she held from July 2019 until now, Johnson led the Fort Smith operations team in a complete factory and operational transformation, Rheem noted.

Fujitsu announced Derrick Paul has been named director of sales, VRF products. Paul will lead the sales efforts of Fujitsu General America’s Airstage VRF systems throughout North American by managing a team of sales engineers, while establishing strategies for short- and long-term initiatives to increase sales revenue and market share, the company explained.

Victaulic announced the promotion of Rick Bucher to CEO, succeeding John F. Malloy, effective Jan. 31. Bucher was named president of Victaulic in April 2020, following a June 2019 appointment as COO. Prior to joining Victaulic in 2009 as vice president of engineering, Bucher worked for 15 years for W.L. Gore, a manufacturer of technologically advanced composite materials. Bucher received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering from Rice University, and a Ph.D. in material science from Virginia Tech.

Terracon announced it has acquired TAM Consultants. Based in Williamsburg, Virginia, TAM serves public- and private-sector clients with a full range of facilities engineering and design services. Founded in 2002, TAM is a 15-person professional services firm with offices in Newport News, Williamsburg and Richmond, Virginia. TAM’s professional services include structural engineering, building enclosure consulting, property condition assessments, forensic and investigative engineering, roof consulting, project management and a variety of building testing services.

Rimkus Consulting Group, a provider of forensic engineering, and architectural and engineering consulting services, announced the strategic acquisition of Canada-based IRC Building Services Group and Quebec-based Le Groupe IRC. The acquisition aligns with Rimkus’ growth strategy, expanding the company’s reach and services across Canada, it explained. Rimkus operates more than 70 offices across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, with a consulting network of more than 650 experts.

Midland Industries announced the acquisition of Champion Brass, a DeSoto, Texas-based distributor of brass fittings, valves, barbs and other related products sold through distributors and qualified OEMs throughout the United States.
