Caleffi announced the expansion of the 128 Series union Y-strainers that are ideally suited for use in hot water recirculation or hydronic systems. Constructed of DZR low-lead brass bodies, the 128 Series Y-strainer has dual union connections for 1/2”, 1/4” and 1” pipe sizes and tailpiece connections in sweat, NPT, press, F1960 PEX expansion and F1807 PEX crimp. The Y-strainer comes with factory-installed integral PT ports that allow quick verification of pressure drop across the strainer. The easy to remove strainer cap includes a plug for installation of a field-provided blowdown valve.

The Oatey 4” PVC Backwater Valve is a sewage check valve designed to prevent pumped water from flowing back into the basin. The valve has an elastomeric seal inside the flapper that ensures a tight seal, preventing fluid from entering. The 4” PVC Backwater Valve can accommodate access sleeves made of Schedule 40 pipe, has hub by hub solvent welded connection and can protect low areas or basements from backflow or waste from street sewers. The threaded access cap incorporates a neoprene seal for positive sealing and can be tightened or removed by hand. The valve fits DWV pipe and can be adapted for sewer and drain pipes. It also comes in a 3” size and is offered in ABS or PVC material.

The TTS Synergy Series tankless rack solution features a turndown ratio of 66:1 that will provide more than 1,600 gallons of hot water per hour, yet is compact enough to fit through a standard mechanical room doorway. The standard package consists of an aluminum frame rack holding from two to six Noritz NCC199CDV Commercial Condensing Water Heaters with maximum inputs of 199,900 Btu/h and maximum flow rates of 11.1 gpm. Also included are the system controller, water and gas manifolds, expansion tank, breaker box with circuit breakers, digital pump controller with timer, surge protector, building recirculation pump and isolation valves — all pre-installed and pre-piped to the attached water heaters. The installer needs to make only a single connection apiece for the water, power, gas, vent, condensate drain and building-recirculation lines.

The Sanicubic 2VX lift station provides above-floor drainage for multiple plumbing fixtures for an entire residential or commercial structure, thus eliminating the need for costlier and less convenient pit installations. REHAU announced the addition of R-20 manifold connectors to its EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve fitting line. The new R-20 connectors are designed for use with RAUPEX crosslinked polyethylene (PEXa) pipes and PRO-BALANCE manifolds. Machined from solid brass with a nickel-plated swivel nut, the manifold outlets are available in 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8” and 3/4”sizes. The design features reconfigured bushings for increased accessibility when using larger hydronic circuits. All EVERLOC+ R-20 fittings include an EVERLOC+ insert with a pre-installed O-ring and swivel nut in a one-piece assembly to support connection security. The R-20 fitting uses the swivel nut to connect to the manifold, then joins to the hydronic circuits using the EVERLOC+ connection technology.
