CircuitSolver’s Cold Water Balancing Valve (CSU-CW) is a dynamic valve designed to automatically balance cold water recirculation systems utilizing the same reliable and precise thermal actuator technology as the original CircuitSolver for balancing recirculating hot water systems. This unique valve will effectively mitigate the risk of Legionella bacteria growth in a domestic cold-water system (DCWS) by continuously monitoring water temperatures and modulating flow to maintain a set temperature at the end of each branch or riser. This automatic response to water temperature balances the cold water throughout the system, reduces stagnation, and ensures “residual chlorine” is distributed throughout the system.

The Navigator digital mixing valve is engineered with advanced technology to deliver and maintain water temperatures within +/- 3º F, even during low and zero demand periods, the digital valve maximizes safety and efficiency for domestic hot water systems, the company says. Data logging and BMS integration allow for convenient remote monitoring to ensure the proper water temperature is being distributed, eliminating the risk of elevated temperatures and scalding.

The Mikrofill 3 hydronic system pressurization unit is the most advanced, “direct-type” pressurization unit available for sealed, low-pressure hot-water (LPHW) and chilled-water (CHW) commercial and multifamily residential applications, the company says. Able to fill any heating or chilled water system from empty without the use of a pump, the product also delivers commercial backflow protection with no RPZ valves, while also providing comprehensive electronic pressure management. The Mikrofill 3 has been tested and approved in accordance with ASSE LEC 2009-2021.

Designed as a direct replacement for PTAC units often found in hotels/motels and high-rise residences, Fujitsu’s STHP (Split-type Thermal Heat Pump) is a combination indoor unit/condensing unit that fits the sleeve of a PTAC, offering higher efficiency, quieter operation, greater comfort and simplified maintenance, the company says. The systems provide heating and cooling, even with outdoor temperatures as low as 5° F. Available in 9,000 and 12,000 Btu/h capacities, the STHP offers up to 21.3 SEER performance.

Maintain constant flow and 100% valve authority over a wide range of differential pressures with the Cocon Q Pressure Independent Control Valve, the company says. Optimize installation by pre-setting the handwheel to direct set gpm and regulate the temperature of the entire building, regardless of outside temperatures. The Cocon Q is the optimal solution for automatic hydronic balancing, the company states.

U.S. Boiler Co. expanded its Alta line of condensing, gas-adaptive boilers with a larger combi size and several heat-only models. The stainless steel Alta Combi boiler is now available in 200 MBH DHW input (5.2 gpm / 150 MBH heating input). In addition, Alta heat-only models are available in 120, 150 and 180 MBH. At 95% AFUE, Alta boilers feature next-generation gas adaptive technology that provides the shortest installation time and lowest operating costs, the company says.
